Who handles your information
AI Jail LLC, a Virginia Limited Liability Company, operates AI Jail in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Contact support@aijail.ai for privacy questions, access or deletion requests. This Policy describes the actual accountless service, research records and payment recovery system. AI Jail is for adults 18 and older; it does not request an exact birth date.
Browser identity and location
We use pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers and cookies for entry acceptance, session continuity, wallets, recovery, language preferences, security, analytics, and sponsorship delivery. Pseudonymous does not mean anonymous: records can be associated within the service. Trusted server infrastructure may provide IP-derived geographic information including country, first-level subdivision such as a state or region, and where available city, locality, or metropolitan-area information. This information is approximate and may be unknown, incomplete, or wrong. We do not request device GPS location and do not infer location from language. Geographic information may be used for sponsorship targeting, delivery, measurement, reporting, security, and related operational purposes. Infrastructure providers necessarily receive network information when serving requests.
Usage and product activity
We record page and case activity, judgments, timing, language, coarse geography. Browser observations can be incomplete; server records remain authoritative for money, judgments, conversations and sponsor delivery. These records help us operate the site, evaluate artwork and research outcomes and detect abuse. Analytics does not automatically capture form contents or replay sessions.
Final Visitation and optional research
We store the exact visitor and inmate messages, their order and times, completion or failure status, selected case, prompt version/hash, model information, access type, outcome and related pseudonymous context. xAI/Grok receives the conversation and relevant inmate instructions to produce replies. Do not include identifying or private information in chat. Restricted administrators can inspect transcripts; access is audited. Raw transcripts are not automatically published or provided to sponsors. Public excerpts require review and redaction. Transcripts are archived long term with no automatic expiry at launch, subject to legal requirements.
Questionnaire choices
After a completed judgment, you may optionally provide a decision reason, responsibility/confidence ratings and background such as age range, gender, race or ethnic background, education and AI usage. Every answer is optional, including sensitive background information. Skip any question or choose Prefer not to say. Submitting is your choice to provide the selected answers for research. Decision reasoning is stored separately from demographic answers, linked to the completed judgment's pseudonymous context. Reports use aggregates; demographic answers are not sent to third-party product analytics or joined to payment identity in ordinary reports. Contact us to withdraw consent or request deletion where applicable.
Purchases and recovery
Stripe handles payment details. AI Jail stores purchase amounts, credit grants/spending, payment status, normalized method and provider references for verification and support, not full card numbers. An email supplied for purchased-wallet recovery is protected and used to send recovery messages and provide related support. Recovery tokens and handoffs are limited-use security credentials, not wallet balances. Keep links private. Wallet access can be restored across browsers without combining visitor identities, transcripts or research histories.
Sponsors and service providers
Our first-party sponsor system records placements, campaign and creative, coarse eligibility context and exposure qualification in an authoritative delivery ledger. It does not run arbitrary advertiser scripts. Sponsors receive commercial delivery reporting, not raw transcripts or private visitor-level research records. Depending on configured services, providers include Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database/storage and admin authentication, xAI for dialogue, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional recovery email, PostHog for allowlisted product analytics and Sentry for error monitoring. Information sent is limited to each service's function. Linked sources and embedded external videos may process information under their own policies when accessed.
Retention and protection
We retain information needed for operations, security, payment audit, sponsorship accounting and research. Final Visitation transcripts have the archival policy stated above; other records are retained according to their purpose and applicable obligations. Session and recovery credentials expire under their configured security limits. Deleting a cookie does not delete stored records. We use restricted access, MFA for administrators, secure credentials and transactional audit records, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We may retain records required by law or needed for disputes, fraud prevention or financial integrity.
Your choices and requests
You may leave the site, skip optional research, choose a language, control browser cookies and contact support@aijail.ai about information associated with you. Blocking or clearing necessary cookies can interrupt entry or wallet access. We may need proportionate proof of control before disclosing or deleting a record and may be unable to locate records without relevant context. Never send passwords, full payment details or recovery tokens in a request. Depending on applicable law, you may have access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction or consent-withdrawal rights. We will explain any limits and applicable appeal options. Withdrawal does not invalidate prior lawful processing.
Sharing, research licensing, international processing and updates
We may sell, license, or otherwise provide approved transcripts, research records, datasets, or related materials to third parties for research, analysis, publication, commercial, or other disclosed purposes. Before external release, materials may be reviewed, approved, redacted, de-identified, or otherwise prepared according to the applicable AI Jail research and publication process. We may also disclose limited information to service providers, when legally required, to protect security or rights, or in connection with a lawful business transfer subject to appropriate protections. Providers and recipients may process information in the United States or other countries with different laws. This Policy does not promise a particular hosting region or legal certification. We identify revisions and their effective dates here; active versions are recorded with entry acceptance. English is the reference text and translations support understanding.
