Operator and agreement
AI Jail is operated by AI Jail LLC, a Virginia Limited Liability Company, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Contact support@aijail.ai for service, payment or privacy questions. By confirming entry, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy linked at entry. You must be at least 18. Do not enter if you are under 18.
An interactive artwork
AI Jail is an interactive digital artwork and research project. General Population and Death Row inmates are fictional personifications. Their sentences, bail, transfer, clemency and deletion are in-world concepts, not actual imprisonment or legal proceedings. Supermax presents curated real-world incidents, evaluations, allegations and documented cases; claim status and sources matter. A visitor judgment does not change the shared editorial roster or decide any real person's legal responsibility.
AI conversations
Final Visitation uses xAI/Grok to generate an inmate conversation with up to six inmate responses. AI output may be inaccurate, invented, disturbing, emotionally intense or unpredictable. It is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Do not rely on it for important real-world decisions. You can leave at any time. Do not submit private or identifying information about yourself or others.
Records and research
We record Final Visitation conversations and judgments pseudonymously for operation, audit, analysis, research and artwork. Transcripts have long-term archival retention without automatic expiry at launch, subject to applicable legal requirements. Raw transcripts are not automatically published; public excerpts require review and redaction. Optional questionnaires are separate from participation: you may skip any question or the entire questionnaire. Submitting answers permits their use for the disclosed research purposes and does not change the recorded judgment. The Privacy Policy explains these practices.
Credits and payments
Stripe processes purchases. Each US dollar buys one credit, without discounts or bonuses. Promoted loads are $3 and $5; Other Amount begins at $1 in whole dollars, subject to the displayed maximum. The server confirms payment and records the balance. Credits are for AI Jail actions only, are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Unused purchased credits do not expire at launch. There is no automatic self-service or pro-rata refund. Contact support@aijail.ai for payment errors or support exceptions; mandatory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected.
Using credits and access
Browsing, case files and ordinary judgments, including Grant Clemency and allowing fictional deletion, are free. An existing unfinished Final Visitation resumes without another charge. For a new Final Visitation, eligible sponsor funding takes priority, followed by a founder-funded first visit if you retain your one-time eligibility and the finite allocation has capacity; otherwise entry costs one credit. Earlier use of a free initial visit, including through a recovered wallet, does not regain eligibility. Founder-funded capacity is a finite total and may be adjusted by the operator; it is not a daily allowance or a promise of free access. Funding or credit is consumed when a visit successfully begins; leaving later does not restore it. An already-started visit retains its funding through its normal six exchanges. Visitor judgments remain individual records and do not move the shared editorial roster. Do not pay again merely because a return page is slow; check the wallet or contact support.
Accountless wallet and sponsorship
Ordinary visitors have no username or password. Browser cookies maintain pseudonymous access. Clearing cookies or using another browser may require secure email recovery for a purchased wallet. Keep recovery links private. Recovery restores wallet access, not a merger of visitor identities or conversation histories. Sponsorship may vary by coarse territory, language, flight and available inventory. Sponsor presence or funded access is not a guarantee of availability or an endorsement of a visitor's judgment.
Acceptable use and rights
Do not use the service unlawfully, submit material you have no right to provide, threaten real people, exploit payment or credit systems, bypass access controls, scrape private records, or interfere with service availability. You retain rights you have in your submissions and permit us to store and use them for the operation, research and reviewed publication described here. We and our licensors retain rights in the site and artwork. External source materials, trademarks and videos belong to their respective owners. Linked sites have their own terms and privacy practices.
Availability and responsibility
We may correct, change, suspend or restrict the service for security, maintenance, misuse or operational needs. We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free AI output. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or excuses our own fraud or deliberate misconduct. Contact us if a service failure affects purchased credits.
Changes and applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, except where mandatory consumer protections in your location apply. We will identify updated versions on these pages and request renewed entry acceptance when the active legal versions change. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already accrued. The English text is the reference version; translations support understanding without limiting mandatory local rights.
